First night in Vegas (our first family selfie) |
We decided to head to Vegas for our family vacation this year. The main reason we wanted to go there was to bring Cal to the NBA summer league tournament. This is where the newly drafted NBA players and also some of the rookies for the NBA teams play. We also wanted Calvin to met as many Jazz players as we could so we could get pictures taken with them and get some memorabilia for Cal.
First off Cal did an excellent job driving from Salt Lake to Vegas. He did not cry once and well he slept most of the time. We stayed at the stratosphere hotel and we arrived late the first night so we went straight to bed. The second day we were there we went to the top of the world restaurant which is on top of our hotel. It is way up there and I am totally afraid of heights but it was awesome to see the whole city from that far up. We got some nice pictures from up there. Later that day we headed over to watch a couple of Jazz games and we were lucky enough to meet one of the newly drafted Jazz players Rodney Hood. We had gotten to the line late and luckily we were the last ones to get his autograph and also Cal got his picture taken with him.

The next day Brian's brother Peter came into town and we hung out with him that day and went to more basketball games and also went to the top of the stratosphere. We got some pretty nice pics of the Vegas strip and also some pics of us on top of the stratosphere. I have to say this that being that high off he ground really freaked me
out. Brian really had the toughest time getting me to go up. I am kinda
glad I did since we got a nice pic on top of it with Cal.
At the end of the trip we were able to head over to see Brian's aunt and
uncle who are serving as mission presidents there in Vegas. It was
really fun to hang out with them while we were there.
