Happy Valentine's Day

So I really have to say I think I have the best husband ever! I know all wives say this but I think it is really true for me! He was so sweet yesterday and decided we should do Valentines day the day before so we didn't have to mess with the crowd. So he came home with a letter and some really pretty flowers. Which the letter he does every year and I love them but he normally doesn't do flowers because well I tell him we don't need to spend the money. But we do have a little more money then we have had from previous years so it was a great surprise! Then we headed out to TGI Fridays and then we went and saw The Vow. Dinner was yummy and the movie was good. I cried at the end. It was a great early Valentines day!

So it has been a while since i have updated about how my progress is going. So here we go. As of today I have been doing this for 6 weeks and I am down 17.8 pounds. I am just loving doing this with my husband! He is so great to do this with too. It is totally different from the last time i did this like 4 years ago because I was doing it by myself. He is such a wonderful support system! There are times I am like i really want to eat something that i know it not worth the points and he helps me to not eat what i don't need. I am also feeling so much better and I really cant wait to see what the rest of the year brings!

Wow cant believe another week has gone by. And I also cant believe I have lost as much as I have. I have now lost 12.6 pounds. That is just nuts 12 pounds in one month! This week I hope I can put in some exercising. But i am feeling so much better! I am really glad we decided to do this.

Christmas Tree Shopping

Since we bought our truck back in 2010 we have gone and picked out a tree with the Maxwell family. It is nice to go with them and help and it is also nice they can use our truck to put the tree in. This year I really think we picked out a nice one. And of course it is always fun to be with my husband's family.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert

So i thought I would do some updates that I missed from last year.

In Dec 2011 I was able to attend the mormon tabernacle choir Christmas concert. My mother in law is in the Choir and she get tickets for the family every year. I was so glad that I could go because it really helped me remember the true meaning of Christmas and just put me in the giving mood! I really enjoyed the concert a lot and I really cant wait to go this year! Here is a pic from that night. The Conference center looks so pretty!

Weight Watchers

It has now been 3 weeks since we have been doing weight watchers. It feels so great to be loosing weight. I have now lost 8.6 pounds. That is almost 3 pounds a week. Crazy! I am loving doing weight watchers with my husband. It really keeps me on track and it feels good to know we are wanting to become healthier together.

We have had our little Mona a year now. I really cant believe it has been that long. She is such a good puppy and I am so glad we got her. She helped me out alot this year when I had my ectopic. She was really just like my little baby. She loves to give kisses and she loves to take off our socks. Seriously if she see us wearing socks she has to come over and take them off. Even if we want her to or not. I swear she could bite off our toes!

So I am actually really glad it is a new year. Last year as you can see I didn't blog very much about anything. I just really didn't want to. I know I should have because I like to look back and see what has happened. But it just got to a point where I just couldn't get my self to do it. To tell you the truth I also didn't take as many pictures i normally do because it was like I really didnt want to remember that much of 2011. Not that 2011 was a bad year. It was far from bad. A lot of great things happened in 2011. My husband got a wonderful job, we got mona, and we got a nice new car just to name a few! But of all the years we have been trying for a child this was the hardest of the years. We first had the tubal pregnancy then we had a miscarriage. I was only 5 and 1/2 weeks but it was hard to get through those moments. I know I am a stronger person to have gone through these things. So what I am trying to get at is I really hope we have a better year in those regards.

Now to 2012. I am actually really excited to see what this year brings. Brian and I have started weight watchers and I am really anxious to see how it goes. So I will definetly keep you all updated on how it works for us. There is not much else to report on our end. But I do hope to be better with bloggin this year!

I know I say this every year but I really cant believe it has been 7 years. Time just flies. This year has also flown by pretty fast too. But I am so glad that I have made it this far with my hubby! I really think we love each other more and more every day! So this year it was the same as every year we went to the same place for dinner because we love Ruby River so much! We really didn't do much after that because we ate so much there. Anyways here are a couple of pics from dinner.

a little vacation

At the beginning of June Brian's family wanted to have a little get away weekend to Midway, UT. It was so nice to get out of the city and into the mountains. It start on a Thursday and we headed to Heber and went to Dairy Keen. It is a pretty good place to get a good burger. They also have awesome shakes! After dinner we ended up back at the condo and play some trivial pursuit. It was the first edition and I did awful! But Brian was spectacular. I have one really smart hubby and of course he won the game. The next day we just kinda relaxed and enjoyed the really nice cool weather. It was like June 3rd and 50 to 60 something. That is just a little too cool for June :). We headed to a movie that afternoon and then headed to a really yummy restaurant in midway called Snake creek grill. It was so good and it was so nice of Brian's parents to plan this great weekend!

I have not blogged in a long time about our cute puppies.
Mona is getting a lot bigger she is not as big as Izzy and I really don't think she will get that big. But she is big enough to beat Izzy up lol. OK not really beat up but she does a pretty good job getting on Izzy's nerves. Sometimes I think Izzy loves her and sometimes I can tell Izzy hates her. Izzy is still really jealous of Mona when we are giving Mona more attention then Izzy. But Izzy loves to cuddle with us and Mona not so much. We love Izzy cuddles! We wish Mona would do the same but she is just so dang independent. I really think she gets that from the pug in her.

My surgery

This starts a little before the whole emergency surgery. We have been trying to conceive for two and 1/2 years. I found out back in Sept 2009 that I had PCOS here is a link to give you more info http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001408/ . So we knew it would be difficult to conceive because of this diagnosis. Anyways so now we are at the beginning of this year and in February we decided to go to an infertility specialist. March was actually our second try with the specialist and we had gotten pregnant. The problem was when we got our blood work back they said my hcg level was too low and most likely was either a chemical pregnancy which is an early miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. So I went in every 3 day and got my blood drawn to check my hcg levels. What they are supposed to do it double every 2 -3 days. And of course mine were doubling. Just to give you an idea I went in on April 6th my hcg was 14. Then I went in on April 9th it was 25. Then April 12th it was 60 and then April 15th 140. So by Monday April 18th I was about 5 and 1/2 weeks. They did an ultra sound and they could not find the baby in the uterus. They did more blood work and my number that day had gone to 501. So we went in for final blood work on Thursday and an another ultra sound. Still no baby in uterus and blood work didn't double it only went to like 832. They really thought now it was an ectopic so we went in and took a shot to stop the pregnancy from growing. That was around 4 30 pm. By 11 30 that night i was in a lot of pain and we headed to the emergency room. They ran a few test and they found that my tube was about to rupture. We were in emergency surgery by 3 am. The surgery did go well and I was out of the hospital the same day by 11 am. I am so grateful for my husband who was there every minute to watch me up to the point of having to go to the er. When i told him i was hurting he was like I really don't want to wait i just want to go right now. But i told him lets see what happens in 5 mins but then of course the pain just got worse. Our hospital is like 12 to 15 mins away and he made it in like 6 mins. And of course during recovery he was so great. I don't know what I would have done with out him.

My 30th b day!

I had a great 30th b day I think it was wanna of the bests ones ever! It started with breakfast at Market street grill. It was steak and eggs for 6.99! It was spectacular! Seriously one of the best breakfast I have ever had. Then we headed to the store to buy some clothes. My wonderful husband said I needed new clothes on my b day. Then we went and watch the Source Code. Then it was nap time before we headed to the Cheese cake factory with my hubby and some friends! I was sad to turn 30 but now that I have it really wasn't that big of a deal. Bring on the next 10 years! I am so excited to see what they will bring me!

The night before my b day we went to my in laws where my mother in law made the best dinner for me. It was pot roast with mash potatoes and gravy and rolls! I really felt spoiled. Here is a picture from that night.

Newest addiiton to our family

We decided it was time to get Izzy a friend. So here is Mona! She is a 9 week old puggle. That is a mix of pug and beagle. She is not like Izzy that much. She does sleep a lot which is fun to watch. Izzy just cant stop bothering her and just wants to keep following her around because we think to protect her but whatever it is she needs to less of it. But we are so glad to have her. She is a great addition to family. Here are a couple of pics!

Martha's Farewell

My sister in law Martha is leaving for a mission on January 4Th and she will be serving in the Santa Cruz Bolivia Mission. She just had her farewell this past Sunday. We are going to miss her so much! But I know she is doing the right thing by serving the Lord.

My mother in law did an awesome job making this really yummy white chili! She always does really nice things for her kids and I am really grateful for her to be my mother in law.

We spent the day with Brian's family this year. The day started with everyone opening there presents and then we went and had some egg casserole that I had made the night before that we put in the oven when we woke up. Everyone said it was really good but I think it could have been better :). Then we hung out at bri's parents for a little and then headed home. At 3pm we headed over to bri's Grandma Colleens house to have a Christmas gathering. It was so fun to see his family and catch up with everyone. Here are some pics from that day.

The Maxwell's have a lot of traditions that we do on Christmas eve. the first thing we normally do is go caroling. Then we come home and have a yummy dinner my mother in law makes. That wonderful time of year is finally upon us! It is Christmas time :) I am already loving it too! The lights are up outside, there is snow on the ground and it is time for us to remember the Savior's birth. I love this time of year so much because you get to spend so much time with family. I love to give, bake, and sing Christmas carols. I just love everything :) Can you tell? This year we decided not to put a tree up because of Izzy she just gets into everything. But I have totally decorated my house. All i need to do it put up some lights outside. But tonight was a great night because we got to help the Maxwell family pick out there Christmas tree. This year was actually the first year I have ever picked out a tree. When I was growing up we had to have fake ones because my mom is allergic to pine. Then i found out my junior year I was too. So i have to have a fake tree too. It was a blast going out there and we even put on Santa hats :) here is a pic hope you all enjoy!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I finished it! I am done with the entire series and I could not be more sad :( I wish there was more to read! I love the series so much and I am glad I finished the last one before the last movie comes out. This last book was so good too! I looked forward every day to walking so I could listen to it for 45 mins a day. Now I don't know what I am going to do when I walk anymore. I might start the hunger games series but who knows. Well 4 more days till I get to see the movie! I am so excited Brian and I are heading to the midnight showing on Thursday night it is going to be great!

Tim returns from Paris!

My brother in law Tim returned from his mission to Paris last night. I would have to say that Brian was very excited to see his brother and of course I was too! It was great being there when he arrived and seeing him give his mom a great big hug. They were so happy to see each other. Of course we were all so happy to see him. The whole family was not able to make it but I made sure I took plenty of pics. Tim we are so glad you are home and that you served a faithful mission!

This past Tuesday was election day and of course that means that the campaign is over and Brian is home alot more :) Also Governor Herbert also won! Well I kinda figured that would happen. But it is so great to see it actually happen. These past few months have been crazy. Brian working 80 or so hour weeks and me never being able to him. It was totally sucky but in the end will be totally worth it. He worked really hard and I am so glad to have him for a husband. Bella's Baptism

My niece Bella got baptized a couple weeks back and I just finally have gotten around to blogging about it. It is always exciting to see the excitement in an 8 years old eyes when they are ready to become a member of the Church. I was really glad that I was able to be there for this. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

So I just finished the 6th Harry Potter book. I really enjoyed this book a lot. I am so glad that I am taking the time to read these books because the movies just are not doing the books justice. I have learned so much more then I have ever learn by just watching the movies. I think I really need to read more. Now that I have the last book left I am kinda excited to actually have it finished before that movies comes out. Well here I go to the next book I hope to finish soon.

I can not believe that my little puppy is 1 today. She is no longer a puppy but I will still continue calling her a puppy. I would have to say she is the best thing that we have brought into our family. She brightens my day and makes me laugh alot. I am so glad she is with us. I hope that we will be able to have her for a long time. She is the best dog ever!

Last night we attended the governors Ball. It was so much fun! I found a great dress for 20 dollars and Bri picked out a great tux with a little bit of pink! It was a great night and we had a lot of fun with everyone on the campaign because well we sat with all of them. The night first started off with my friend who was also going h er name is Katie. She drove me because Bri was already there and we didnt want to take two cars. So Katie and I took some pics together. Then we got there and we were able to hang out for a little bit. September 11th We Will Remember

Today is September 11th I can not believe it has been 9 years since those planes flew into the world trade center. I remember that day so well. I was sleeping and the phone woke me up and someone on the other line told me that a plane flew into the world trade center. I was like ok and I said I would tell my mom. So I told my dad and of course we didn't think anything of it because it could have just been an accident. So I went back to bed. About an hour later I woke up and all the tvs in the house were blasting with America Under attack! I was like what is going on? It turned out that another plane crashed into the other tower of the world trade center. And it was terrorist who had done it. There was also another plane out there that hit the pentagon too. And also one more that didn't end up hitting anywhere because the people on the plane was able to get it to crash instead of it intended destination to which i recall was supposed to be the white house. It was a very long day I remember. I also remember watching tv and watching all the footage of people jumping out the towers it was a very horrific sight all I wanted to do that day was cry because so many people had lost there lives. I don't know much about the day Brian was born because I don't think I have asked his mother but one day I will. But what I do know is that I am very glad he was born because he would have never met me if he wasn't. So all I really had to say is Happy 30th Birthday Brian. The world would not know what to do with out you in it. You have made so many changes to my life and made my life better. I really don't know what I would do if he was not in my life.

Harry Potter 5

I finally finished the 5th Harry Potter book. It has been by far my favorite of them all. I also watched the movie today and again all I have to say is they leave so much out. I have decided it is way better to watch the harry potter movies after you have read the books because they are way better then the movies. I am excited to start the 6th one I heard that there is almost missing from the movie and I will learn a lot more about Lord Voldemort. So hopefully it doesn't take me the same amount of time it took me to read the 5th book because I have all intentions to finish the 6th and the 7th by the time the 7th comes out.

Are you ready for some Football?

Yes that time of year has come that College football is about to begin. This is opening weekend for the BYU cougars and we couldn't be more excited. What football season means to me is the weather is going to be a lot more cooler, Brian's family coming over to watch the game, being able to turn the ac off and open the windows, the leaves changing colors and of course the closer we get to all those wonderful holidays at the end of the year! All I have to stay is GO BYU! We are ready for a great season!

Anna Turns 15!

I can't believe that my oldest niece Anna turned 15. That just makes me feel so old :) So her b day was on the 28th of August but she had her family dinner to celebrate is on Sunday the 29th. I was able to attend but bri was not because it was his mother b day so he went to his parents house and I went to my brothers house. It was a win win in our book :). Wow how time flies. I can't believe it has been 6 years. But i guess if you are with the one you are supposed to be with that it how it is supposed to feel. I am even more in love with my husband now then I was when we got married. He does so much for our family and he is a great provider and I know one day he is going to be a wonderful father. I honestly don't know what I would do with out him in my life.
We had a great night together. First he came home with some beautiful roses which are pictured above :) and then we went to Ruby river which is the best steak house in Utah! We both got the rib eyes and then they were so nice to give us free dessert for our anniversary! It was a great evening and I cant wait to have many more down the road!

California Vacation Part 1

We went with the Maxwell family to Cali for our vacation this year. We had such a great time. We went to the beach and Bri got to go golfing at Torrey Pines and we also went to Knottsberry farm! So these are soo good! They are celery filled with cheese and they are a recipe i got from bri's family. I really dont know what they are called but here you go :)

You will need 2 1/4 cup of sharp cheddar cheese. I actually like mild or medium.
1 cup of real mayo
1-2 tsp of minced onion just depending on taste
1 stalk of celery

Mix the mayo with the onion and then stir in cheese sit in the fridge for 30 mins and then fill the celery

You will love these!

New Truck!

So we bought a new truck back in May and I finally had time to get pictures so i can post it :) Here is our new truck. We traded in our BMW for this and we love it! Bri normally drives it but it is nice to have two vehicle again since the BMW was out of commission for like 2 and 1/2 months.

We actually celebrated the 4th of July on the 3rd of July since the 4th fell on Sunday. So we of course headed down to Bri's Aunt Nancy house and we celebrated with his family. It was such a great night we got to see a lot of Brian's cousin and there kids and we even got to met Ryan and Jodi's new little addition Neal. He was super cute and we had such a fun time holding him :). Then of course we did fireworks on the street and then we ended up doing a girls night out to Eclipse. It was the 2nd time that I had seen it but it was just as good as the first time! Here are some pics from the evening.

I turned 29 this year. I would have to say I wasn't very excited to since next year I will be 30. We are still trying to get preggers and it just feels like it is takin so long. I really hope that I can at least be preggers before my 30th birthday! But I did have a great day my hubby took me out for dinner and a movie. It was a wonderful day!

It has been 20 years

I can not beleive it has been 20 years since my little brother passed away. It still hurts when i think about him. I know he is in a better place but it just makes me sad that he can not be hear on the earth with us. When my little brother was a live he followed me around all the time and wanted to hang out with me. I didnt really like it so i would always hide from him. When he passed away i felt so bad because i should have spent more time with him. He was a wonderful little boy and I do miss him so much. I wonder what he would be doing now if he were still alive. Would he be in utah or Idaho or living at home with my parents? Would he be married? Where would he have served his mission? I have a lot of questions. But they are just questions of what if. Valentine's Day

We really didn't do too much for Valentines day. We just saw a movie and hung out. We saw Dear John. It was an ok movie but I was wishing for a better ending. So since valentines was on a sunday we just went to Brian's parents house for sunday dinner and I made some yummy chocolate covered strawberry rice cripy treats. Here is a picture of them :)

Anyways i made these with strawberry marshmellows and they are so yummy. I hope every had a wonderful valentines day!

another yummy easy recipe

So I really love cream cheese wontons so i decided to look for a recipe.

This is what I found

1 Package of cream cheese
1 jar of jalepanos sliced
1 package of wonton skins (found in produce section of grocer)

First brush water around the edge and then place cream cheese in the middle and then add 2 sliced jalepanos. Then fold in half so it looks like a triangle. Place in frier with canole oil (That is what I used but you can use what you want) at 350 degrees untill golden brown.

Pineapple Banana Cake

This is so yummy! I just made it tonight and i had to share the recipe. I had some bananas that were about to go bad and so i searched online and found this recipe.

Pineapple Banana Cake

Ingredients:
3 Cups All-Purpose Flour

2 Cups Sugar

1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1 Teaspoon Salt ;

1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon for garnish

3 Ripe Bananas diced (about 2 cups)

1 1/2 Cups Vegetable Oil

1 1/2 Teaspoons Extract Of Vanilla

8 Ounces Crushed Pineapples undrained

3 Eggs lightly beaten

Mix all dry ingredients. Add bananas, oil, pineapple with juice, vanilla, and eggs. Stir all together. Do not beat - just blend. Bake in a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool on rack before removing from pan.

Now it says to bake for 1 hour and 20 mins but i think that is too long. I baked for 1 hour and it was perfect.

the frosting was cream cheese frosting which is also way yummy here is the recipe

Cream Cheese Frosting
2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
3 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

The play by play so far? One licked, then abandoned puppy treat. One pee pee + one poop accident (no concept of potty training in the breeders home. Could be trouble ahead.)

So we really didnt do much when it came down to Halloween night we just stayed home and ate sushi. It was fun just hanging out with my hubby but it w0uld have been nice if we would have gotten some trick or treaters. Maybe one day when we move into a house we will get some and i can really decorate the outside of my house :) This year i was only able to put a couple things up. The little blocks that say boo on them are from my sister and the pumpkins are from party lite candels.

Governor's Gala

Last night we attended the governor's gala which is a fundraiser the gov puts on every year to raise money for his election in the coming year. Since bri just got hired on with the campaign we were able to go. It was such a great night It was fun to get all dressed up and get my hair and make up done. Brian also looked really nice in his tux. The best part of the night was watching the preformers who did little parts of some different musicals. The one we liked the most was The Wiz part.

Brian is now I year closer to being 30 and ofcourse I love giving him a hard time that he will turn 30 before me! So from what I can tell Brian had a pretty good birthday. We went over to his parents house and had cake and opened presents. The cake was made by Ashlee one of my good friends and it was soo yummy! Football Season Has started!

Go BYU! The Maxwell household is very excited for the upcoming season and we are so glad it started off with such a great win! BYU Beat Oklahoma last night 14-13 it was a great game. We had Brian's family over for the first game. It was great to have them all here and cheering on BYU. In the coming months all are welcome in the Maxwell house to cheer on BYU!

I cant believe it has been 5 years. It has been a great 5 years and I am so glad to be married to Brian :) I can not wait to find out what the next 5 years will bring. thanks Brian for all the great memories you have given me so far and for the many down the road :) I love you so much!!!!!

Maxwell Family Vacation

This past weekend Bri and I headed up to Midway for a family vacation with his family. It all started on friday night with the guys going and playing some golf and then girls headed to the Park City outlet mall. I had such a fun time hanging with my mother in law and sisters in law. I really don't get to do that very often and it was way fun! Then after we were done with the outlets we headed into Heber and had dinner at the dairy keen. Then we headed back to the homestead where me and bri just crashed from such a long day!

The next morning we headed back into town for breakfast with the fam. Then we kinda had whatever time until we were ready to check out of our rooms. Brian's mother thought of a really cool game we could play where we would rotate from station to station and earn point. Like we played air hockey and foosball and pool and then the person who got the most point out of the rotations won. Emily (brians sister) won! It was a really fun activity. It was nice to just get away and be with the ones you love. Here are a few pics from the trip :)

Happy 4th of July

The one thing I love about the 4th of July is the fireworks!

I always look forward to the 4th because it is kinda the middle point of the summer. This year really hasn't been too hot which has been great. But that does not mean that it won't get hotter. I am not a big fan of hot weather even though I did live in Houston for 15 years maybe that is why I don't like hot weather anymore :) So now to the 4th of july. We ended up going to Brian's parents house for breakfast and it was so yummy! Then that night went went to his Aunt Nancys house for dinner and fireworks. It is always fun to see Brian's cousins. They have the cutest kids so I of course had to take pictures! Here are a couple of them :)

Vegas Vacation

So this past week we went to Vegas for vacation. It was my first time there and it was so much fun! We left Monday morning around 11 30 and we got to Vegas around 5 30. Brian drove the whole time. He is such a great hubby to do that. I am not a big fan of driving long distance. So we stayed at the MGM Grand. We got a really good deal. We had the buffet included in our room price. So basically we spent 93 dollars a night and got food for free! It was a pretty sweet deal. So i have some picture but right now I am too lazy to put them up. So I will post more later :)

Brian has finally graduated. He actually graduated back on the 8th but we didn't have his party till today. Here are a couple of pictures from the party.

On Tuesday I turned 28 I was not too excited to be 28 since i seriously thought I would have had a baby by now. But i know things happen for a reason and one day I know I will be a mom. It was a great day my hubby came home with 2 dozen chocolate covered strawberries from Cummings chocolate. They were the best! Then we went to Red robin for dinner and i got my free burger and a free sundae. It was a pretty fun day! The next day i got some really pretty flowers from my mom she is so sweet to send me my favorite flower!

Easter Weekend!

My weekend started out really great but it actually started on Thursday when I started working from home! It was so nice to not have to drive into work. Then on Friday I had the repair guy come to look at our dishwasher. He told us it was going to cost a lot to repair and the home warranty company needed to decided if they were going to get it fixed or let us get a new one. I am really hoping for the new one! Then I had to make a wonderful trip to home depot and get a new toilet seat and a shower hose. Luckily those things are not very much to replace i guess it could have been a lot worse when it comes to owning a home.

Now for the weekend! On Saturday my in laws took me out to celebrate me birthday. We went to Village Inn. It was so much fun to hang out with all of Brian's Family. Then that evening my sister in law Liz and I went and got pedicure. It was nice to just relax and have someone massage my feet and of course spend some time with my sister in law. Then we went back to the house and Bri , my brother in law Eric, Karen and Liz all watch Quantum of Solace. It is such a great movie and of course it was great to spend more time with the family!

Finally Easter Sunday arrived. We really didn't do to much during the day but that evening we headed over to my in laws home and had a great eater feast. Karen my mother in law made a great roast with mashed potatoes and gravy it was so yum. And of course Karen was so sweet to give us an Easter basket full of some yummy treats! Like I said it was a really great weekend! This week will also be pretty fun since we are going to go to PF changs on my b day. I am so excited I haven't been there in forever!

I can't believe it is almost April

It really feels like this year is going by so fast. It is going to be April in like 4 days and we are still getting snow here in Utah. I am so ready for spring.

Here is some things that has happened since the last time I posted. We got our tax return in the middle of February and decided we needed a new tv. So we bought a 50 inch samsung hd plasma tv. It is so nice and of course i have pics :). So that was our exciting news for February. We love our new tv and we even paid a little extra so it could be mounted on the wall.

Since it has been and was so cold in salt lake we decided we needed to get out of salt lake and go to st george for a weekend. It was so nice down there. Just to get away and relax. We did a little shopping and saw some movies. I know it is the same thing we would have done if we would have been in Salt lake but the weather was just so much better!

Valentine's Weekend!

It was so great to have a 3 day weekend with my hubby! Valentine's day was really fun first of all i got to sleep in which was really nice. Then Brian came home with some really pretty roses and some yummy macadamia chocolate caramel thing. They were so freakin awesome. You can get them at costco brian said they were like 10 dollars. Then around 3 we went to Ruby river which is the most awesome steak house in utah. Finally we went and watch a chick flick which my hubby is the best of course it was confessions of a shopaholic! It was a great day one of the best Valentine's day ever!

Since the ground hog did not see its shadow I have been told that we might be getting some spring. Ok I know what you are thinking Rachel the ground hog does not really determine that but I really wish it did! I am really getting tired of winter. I actually fell on the ice today ok so I didn't hurt myself but still I am so ready for some spring weather!

It has been awhile since I updated on Bri and I so i thought I would just go over some things that have been going on in out lives. Brian has been sick the past 2 and 1/2 weeks and is finally getting over whatever he had. He is also been busy with school finishing up his last semester of college. Nothing has really been going on with me except I am totally addicted to reality tv. Bri and I have been watching the Bachelor and True beauty which has really been fun. I have been watch the Biggest Loser which I call my sister after and we discuss the show. Work for both of us has been the same just the same thing everyday :) One thing that we did do this past month was buy a gym membership. We are really wanting to get into shape and lose weight. We have been doing ok well we haven't gone that much but we will be better now that Bri is not sick anymore.

Well I hope this give you an idea about what we have been up to :) and of course I will do better about updating our blog!

New Years Day!

My parents headed into town on the tuesday before New years so we were able to spend a couple days with them. While they were here we also hung out with my brother Chris, his wife Nicole and there baby Devany. We all went to the restuarnt called Tepanyaki we had a wonderful time hanging out there. Then we headed over to the movie theater that was next to it and watched Yes man. It was a pretty nice new years day! here are a couple pictures from that night.

Christmas Eve

Every Christmas eve we gather at the Maxwell house for some pretty regular traditions. We normally start around 5:30 with dinner which is always amazing. Then we go caroling as a family to a couple neighbors. This year Brian and I did not attend the caroling session I thought it was too cold and I didn't want to slip on the ice like I did last year. The last and final thing we do before the kids go down to the basement and start a movie is the nativity story. This year Brian was Herod here is a picture of him.

Christmas season is finally here!

Christmas time is actually my favorite time of year. I mean I love Halloween and all with the kids dressing up, but Christmas is even better. I love the feeling in the air. Everyone should enjoy Christmas. If I could I would make Christmas all year long.

The true meaning of Christmas is remembering our Savior Jesus Christ, and it seems everything going on is something Christ would appreciate.

- Giving to others..
- The kindness people show around this time of year.
- All the family time.
- Singing Christmas songs in church. (My favorite)

Christmas around the Maxwell house has started off well. I actually started decorating my office desk 3 days before Thanksgiving. I bet you are thinking hmm Thanksgiving hasn't even happened. I know trust me my fellow co workers were thinking the same thing. I was really excited though :). I did try to decorate our house early too but Brian is a bit of a scrooge no decorating before Thanksgiving. So I ended up decorating on Thanksgiving night. Here are a few pictures of out tree and of course our fire place since we finally have one!

Update for November

I really haven't blogged a lot this month if you haven't noticed. I just thought I would kinda go over what has been going on this month. The month started off with of course Brian's brother leaving to go on a mission to Paris. Then we had to deal with some Hoa stuff since Brian was running to be on the board and yes he did win. Which is really nice because he can get in there and look at the budget and figure out how to lower the HOA dues. They are doing an increase of 5% which means we will be paying 324 dollars a month for our hoa dues. This really does suck!

Now to get to one of the best days of the month the Twilight release! It was such a awesome movie. I went and saw it with my friend Tori on Friday at 11:30. I was a little sad that I didn't get to see the midnight showing but at least i got to see it on openind day. Finally Thanksgiving day arrived and we went to Brian's Aunt Tracy's house. We had such a great time spending sometime with his family. I don't have any pictures really since not that much happened this much but there will be a lot of pictures next month.

The day didn't start off the best. I really wanted to dress up for work but I could not decide on anything. Finally I decided I would be a house wife who is a byu fan. Basically my way of getting away with wearing my pjs to work and also trying to have a halloween costume. Needless to say it wasn't my best idea but hey at least I was comfortable. I have a little slide show from some of the people I work with in there Halloween costume. Just to give you a little idea of what I was up against since I lost the halloween contest. Not that I thought I would win but here you go :)

I only work 4 hours on Friday so it was nice to leave and go home and spend some time with my hubby. We really didn't do to much today except we did try to vote but they told us it would be an hour and half wait so we left. The afternoon just kinda rolled by and then it was night time. I decided to head over to my in-laws since no trick or treaters were going to be coming to my house tonight. So here are a few pictures of Tim and Anna in there costumes!

This year is the 10th anniversary that the call center I work at has been open. So they had a party to celebrate it. It just so happened to fall around Halloween so of course we had a Halloween party! So in this first picture I am putting up balloons because I am part of a group called ERT we help plan events and different things like that.

In this next picture I am sitting with my friend Kim from work eating a wonderful BBQ dinner. I was a really great night to see all the kids in there Halloween costumes and be able to meet the people I work with families.

Tim Maxwell's Farewell

So I don't think I have mentioned yet that my brother in law Tim is going to Paris France for his mission. He is reporting to the MTC on Nov 5th. We are going to miss him so much but we know he is working for the Lord so it is totally worth it. Well today was his mission farewell. General Conference weekend

It was so great to be able to sit and listen to the words of our Prophet and the speakers the general authorities asked to speak this year. One of my favorite parts was listening to the Primary children sing I love to see the temple. I cried the entire song. It makes me feel so great inside to know how wonderful all those children are and you can tell by the way they sing how much they love our Heavenly Father.

Another thing we do on conference weekend is get together with Brian's extended family. We usually meet at his Grandma Maxwell's house but this year we were at his Aunt Jane's house. It is something they have done for a long time and I hope the tradition continues. I really love to go because it is great to catch up with his family. He has tons of cousins and of course they have kids of there own now. So it is great to hang out with them and there children and of course his aunts and uncles. Well I was going to put up some pictures but they aren't working. So sorry no pictures :(

So this morning I got into work and this is what I found at my desk.

I had been taged by the Halloween Ghost. Like I said I love this time of year so I was pretty excited to see my desk like this. That just means I am all set with decorations at work and I just need to get some stuff for the house now!

I am so glad that is it finally October! I know it has been forever since I have posted! But like I said it is finally October! It is time to decorate my house with Halloween stuff and time to find something to be for Halloween! So basically what I am trying to say is that these wonderful fall and winter months have hit us and it is time to have some fun! So even though we don't have kids you will definitely see me posting on here a little bit more!

So today is Brian's 28th birthday. Brian and I both had to work but we were able to go out to dinner with his friends to celebrate. Here is a picture of everyone but me since I was the one who took the picture!

The last week!

So I finished Eclipse last night and already 145 pages into the 4th book. I just couldn't put it down last night! I love it so much. So there hasn't been much that going on lately. Except Brian's grand mother got married on the 5th of September. Here is a pic of the Maxwell Kids except Peter since he is in Washington DC.

It was a great wedding and then we also found out some more news that Brian's Aunt Tracy is also getting married. So it was a very exciting day!

Well we are headed over to Brian's parents house for his b day dinner. His b day is not til tomorrow but we are celebrating it today! I will update more about that later
